The perfect Provence Spritz
Nestled amongst the traditional boatbuilders on Island Street, at one of the world's only distilleries direct accessible by boat, Salcombe Distilling Co. continues Salcombe's legacy of producing outstanding handcrafted products made with an unrivalled passion, care and attention to detail. Salcombe fruit schooners were sailing vessels from the 1800's which were small and fast to carry highly perishable cargo such as fresh fruit and spices, Salcombe gin use the finest fresh ingredients from all over the world as a nod to these fruit schooners in a location which is well known for exceptional handmade products. The co-founders, Howard and Angus, used to work as sealing instructors at The Island Cruising Club where they used to wind down post shift with a gin & tonic as their sundowner. This is where the idea was born.
- 50ml Salcombe Rosé Sainte Marie Gin
- 150ml Franklin & Sons Indian Tonic Water
- Garnish with a slice of fresh strawberry
- Best served in a large wine glass
Presenting the Provence Spritz, a bright and floral cocktail showcasing Salcombe Gin ‘Rosé Sainte Marie’ and our favourite pale pink Rosé from Provence, Château d'Esclans Whispering Angel.
- 35ml Salcombe Gin ‘Rosé Sainte Marie’
- 20ml Whispering Angel Provence Rosé Wine
- 20ml Lanique Rose Liqueur
- Fever-Tree or Franklin & Sons Indian tonic water
- Lemon peel
- Dried lavender stem
STEP 1: Combine Salcombe Gin ‘Rosé Sainte Marie’, Provence Rosé Wine, with Lanique Rose Liqueur and fill to the top with Fever-Tree Indian tonic water.
STEP 2: Build over cubed ice in a glass and gently stir.
STEP 3: Garnish with lemon peel, and a dried lavender stem to finish.
